Tulelake, the untold story... Chapter One
The first time I met Tony Ross, the Chief of Police of Tulelake was when I was putting on an event at the Tulelake Fair Grounds. It was called "All Saints Day", to offset "Halloween". It was taking place on October 31, 2003.
But that was fifteen years ago and a lot has changed since then. Not only for me but I would assume for Tony Ross as well. Tulelake, CA is a small town that if you are on the right side of Tony Ross, then you will be fine. Otherwise, watch your back. Because if you are on the wrong side of Tony Ross he will try and make your life miserable until he feels he has you on the defense. Or tries to convince others you are no good and not up to his standards. Even to the point of comparing you to others who once lived in the community.
Tony Ross used to say that in his opinion "I was a pain in the ass, but not violent". Then things changed after I began reporting on the news in Tulelake. Where I would spend my time reporting on city council meetings so that people in the community would have a better idea what was going on in Tulelake, CA.
Tony Ross, Chief of Police once compared Mr. Garland to Richard Roth in a city council meeting on record.
Below is who Tony Ross compared Mr. Garland too.
"Dispute over wood stove preceded Winlock woman's death"
Nov 5, 2010
"A dispute about the disposal of ash from a wood stove led to the shooting death of a 66-year-old Jackie Lawyer of Winlock on Thursday morning, according to court documents.
Filed late Friday afternoon in Lewis County Superior Court, the documents highlight how a petty dispute turned into a homicidal exchange at the Frost Road Mobile Home Park.
According to the papers, Lawyer confronted her neighbor, Richard Joseph Frank Roth, 65, while he was doing laundry in the park's recreation building. She called him a "snitch" for telling the park's manager she was dumping ash from her stove in the woods across the street from the trailer park.
According to the documents, Roth and Lawyer exchanged insults. He returned to his trailer and put a .22 revolver in his back jeans pocket. When Roth returned to the recreation building, Lawyer confronted him again. The argument escalated, and Roth pulled the gun out of his pocket, pointed it at Lawyer's neck and fired one shot, according to the documents.
After firing the gun, Roth returned to his van and put the gun back in a storage compartment. According to court documents, Roth returned to his trailer and called 911.
When deputies arrived, they found Lawyer dead about 100 feet from Frost Road. Her body was found covered with a blanket."

I don't own a gun and never have as I have no reason too. Nor do I want one. And that is my choice. Another false claim by none other than Tony Ross, himself, again.
I love this one too when asking people what they think of Tony Ross. It depends on who you ask?
There are good and bad people no matter where you go or end up. And Tulelake is no different.
But there is a group of people that go out of their way to cause havoc. We all know who they are so there is no need to mention their names at this time.
There is also a great many others who are good, caring people and we know who they are as well.
And as they always say that is TULELAKE, CA. What else do you expect?
