"Up from here" Chapter 15: Belli Vista

It’s odd how people who claim to call themselves Christians can cause more harm than good. They hurt others and do not even realize it. I do not think they even know what they are doing because no one has ever told them or pointed out the damage they have caused until it is far too late. I am a Christian myself and believe there is a God and he has always taken care of me. HE always will and HE has been by my side in the good times and the bad times. (The above at the time is what I believed when I sat down and began writing this book in 2008, I am not so sure about that being true today. As I have come across even more hypocrites who are not only pastors but everyday so called people who claim they are Christians and they are nothing but a bunch of hypocrites pretending to be Christians and preaching the word of God. "Up from here" Chapter 14: Refiners Fire Church

In May of 2007 is when I met Mike and Arlene Sheehan who were involved at the time with a church called the “Refiners Fire Church” of Redding. I was in Caldwell Park praying that the Lord would help me and Feisty find a place to live or even park my van where we both could sleep. When out of nowhere came these two young people handing out flyers about an event that was going on at Library Park and other locations throughout downtown Redding, California. I decided I had nothing to lose and everything to gain. I walked Feisty back and put her in the van and drove to Library Park to listen to the bands performing. It wasn’t long after I was there that I met Mike and Arlene Sheehan where Mike Sheehan mentioned I could park my van in his backyard.
